Bio

I am a software engineer at Google, where I work on the Android SystemUI team (a.k.a., “everything you see on Android that’s not an app”). I am passionate about mobile development and UI/UX design, and I love coming up with creative ways to improve the way users interact with their mobile phones.

My mission is to create delightful experiences on Android, and to help grow the next generation of software developers. I practiced teaching and mentoring through my position as a Teaching Assistant in my university, as well as my role as Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador. One of my greatest achievements has been leading a team of students who contribute on a mobile application I built for our student community in University. Through work, I love participating in events, conferences and various career panels.

Currently working on the Android SystemUI team in 🇨🇭 Zürich, Switzerland. My main focus is to improve notifications on Android by fixing bugs and leveraging modern software architecture for both existing and new features.
	Software Engineer Google	2020 - 2022
Worked as part of the Search infrastructure team in 🇨🇭 Zürich, Switzerland. Developing and maintaining highly scalable serving and indexing systems, as well as tools to improve developer velocity.
	Teaching Assistant University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest	2017 - 2020
Taught introductive classes on programming, data structures (in C) and object-oriented programming (in Java) at the top engineering university in 🇷🇴 Bucharest, Romania.

Worked as an iOS back-end (Objective-C) developer in the mobile data infrastructure team in 🇨🇭 Zürich, Switzerland.

Achieved the last milestone of the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors programme thanks to continuous community engagement, even during the global pandemic.
	Academy Lead Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors in partnership with University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest	2019 - 2020
I was responsible for the Microsoft Academy at our university, including managing the team of trainers for our three courses (Introduction to .NET, Advanced .NET and SQL Server) as well as PR tasks. I was a trainer myself for the SQL Server course, from March to December 2019.

	Trainer Codette	2017 - 2018
Codette is a community for women with a passion for IT&C that organizes a series of events centered on education, inclusion and personal development. I took part in IT-related workshops (Py@Codette – Python workshop) as both participant and trainer, and various events (Codette4Web – powered by Adobe Romania, involving discussions about web services), as well as contributed with articles for the community blog.
